Default Fuel Help

Twas a nice day to ride finally and my bike rebelled.

I rode just two weeks ago and didn't have a problem. Today, when I went to start the bike, fuel started pouring out the bowl drain line. I closed the petcock and it stopped of course. When I opened the petcock again, the fuel started pouring out again. I'm no carb man, but I was thinking the diaphram cracked or broke. Am I close?

Default RE: Fuel Help

Sounds like the float needle valve is stuck or bad, I have rapped on the carb float bowl, with a screwdriver handle, and unstuck them, also there could be some trash in the needle seat not allowing the fuel flow to shut off when the float bowl is full. You might be better off just pulling the carb down and installing a new needle and seat just to be sure.
