Not familliar with the adjustment of my CV Carb. It is idling a bit high and I would like to make an adjustment. I see a brass adjustment screw (lower rear) and a thumb screw on the end of rubber tubing just above it- not sure what these are for.
The bike has only ~200 miles on it, I'm guessing it will change as break-in continues?
You'll find the idle speed adjustment screw on the right side of the carb towards the front of the bike. It has a gold color screw that will accept a phillips or regular screw driver and is pointing upwards at a round a 45* angle . To lower the idle, turn it counterclockwise.
Sounds like you might have a mikuni carb there, the thumbscrew would be the idle adjustment, the hose would cover a flex line to the idle adjust screw on the side of the carb if so, see where it connects to on the side of the carb.
OK - so it sounds right. The flex line connects to the left side (rear of the bike). I turn it like 1 turn in or out and the idle increases slightly regardless which direction. Turning further in either direction seems to have no effect? Dealer installed a 42mm carb kit - not sure what make...
