compression
2005 flstc 95 inch,se flat tops,50w cam(510-510),DandD 2-1,42 mikuni,se timing tuner,2008 heads cleaned and .030 milled w/.030 gasket,171-172 compression. 50w likes compression.thinking of changing to 10.25:1 pistons same heads(change head gasket to?) what will compression look like? would like 190-195! what gasket(.060 or?)?? any help would be appreciated! 90 hp-98 toque,thanks gamb944@yahoo.com

what altitude are you at. Never want a .060 no matter what unless the heads are spin dropped and your pistons are .030 out of the hole which is unlikely. .030 is the squish you are looking for.Depending on what your torq curve looks like those are nice numbers.

I'm not sure what the dome volume is on the 10.25 pistons...95" with 85cc heads and .045 head gasket and 10cc domes is 10.25 compression...your heads are probably 82cc, going by your 171#ccp and .030" milling that was done....030" gasket with those pistons (if 10cc dome) would be 10.7 compression....040" gasket would be 10.5...not sure about your tuning skill or how goodyour ignition is, but 190ccp can be difficult to tune...if I were doing it, I'd look for pistons with 6 to 8cc dome and use .030" head gasket
