papi may have it.&nbsp\\; I'd tend to agree. Black smoke coming out the exhaust while trying to accelerate?&nbsp\\; Sounds like there's some sort of ignition problem, check all wires, including battery termail end for being tight.&nbsp\\; Pull those plugs and check which cylinder is not firing.&nbsp\\; Chances are, one of the plugs is/are black and wet.

Like these guys recommended-check the plug wires, if they're tight,check your intake for leaks.

I checked for intake carb manifold leak with starting fluid. no leak. Checked every wiring connection and ground I could get to. They all look ok. Any other suggestions?

You didnt shake a carb jet loose did you by chance, I have only seen it happen once.
