Default Feuling Super pump...

I know it's a long shot, but maybe some one can answer this:

The Feuling Super Pump is listed as fitting 1999-2006 twin cam (except 2006 Dyna) motors. The Feuling cam support plate is blueprinted and matched to the Feuling Super Pump. The cam support plate WILL fit 2007-2009 twin cam motors. Will the Super Pump THEN work on a 2008 twin cam as long as it is mated with the Feuling cam plate?

I was wondering if the Super Pump would not work on a 2008 just because of the OEM cam plate.

Not that this answers your question, but if you have a 2008 why do you want to put the Feuling pump in it? I think the newer HD oil pumps are pretty good and provide plenty enough pressure. I know that the Feuling race pump (not the super) states that it fits 2000-2009 so I'm not sure what the differences are with fitment between the two.

It's not so much that I want to use the Feuling Super Pump as much as I want to use the Feuling cam plate. The Screaming Eagle cam plate is not listed as a fitment for the 2008 Twin cam. I can't see having a higher volume oil pump without a cam plate with larger oil passages to take advantage of the increased flow.

From everything I have heard the 07-08 oil pumps are good. So I wouldn't worry. The only issue seems to be the cam support plate, self material cam bearings. Just a bored hole in the aluminum. Plain berrings like lots of oil pressure and the HD has 38#'s give or take. A Baisely oil pressure spring wouldn't hurt, raise the pressure 15% to 44#'s maybe.
Now in this area the Fueling and also the Screaming Eagle I was just looking at are better. Anodized (hard) with bronze bushings. I am looking at a better cam and soft aluminum cam bearings worry me. Even though I know the more oil pressure here the better. Maybe I worry for nothing the metal should never touch.
Check out chicago HD, can download the New Screaming catalog. 20% off everything, I just ordered the new 58 MM throtle body, manifold and air filter. Prices are good and no tax.

You are wasting your money with Fueling plate and Pump on an 08. Save some bucks if you really want to change the plate go with the SE billet plate. It is a good piece and way les in money. The stco 07 and up oil pumps are just fine, higher flow rate than previous years, and remember, it is not the pressure, it is the flow rate that is important in engines that have roller and ball bearings.
