Default '08 Police 103" How much valve lift with stock springs?

Want to install Andrews 54H .550" lift cams or Redshift 575 cams getting mixed answers whether stock springs will work. also I know all 07 up bikes have upgraded oil pump but do only CVO bikes have bearing supported cams?

The valve lift on the Andrews 54H is .555".

The Andrews 55H has a .550" valve lift and Andrews says it requires hi-lift valve springs, so I don't know why the 54H wouldn't need them as well.

Only CVO bikes come with the SE cam support plate if that's what you're asking about.

Dawg is running Redshift 575's in his '08 Ultra with stock springs (.575 lift) and the guys at Big Boyz told me the '07 and up (touring at least) have the beehive springs and can handle that much lift. I'm probably going to go 103 next winter with the Andrews 54's.

Ask the people telling you that to put it in print and see if they give you the same answer.

Good point. I'll be sure to ride the fire out of mine that first year so if it breaks, it will do it while under warranty. At least I'll be having fun...

Need to look at the fine print on your warrenty. Very little engine work is covered, and only some cams. Some HD and some SE Stuff. They say it plainly in the catalogs. And only if they do the work. Your dealer may say all is covered but that is only for him. Other dealers,,,?, good luck.

I'm pretty sure I've purchased my bike from the BEST dealership (atleast from my experience) I possibly could have, Ozark HD in Lebanon, MO. absolutely the nicest people I've ever met at a HD dealership. I'm not worried about warranty issues. Can cams with .575" lift such as the 575-hs redshift be installed "drop-in" with stock (non CVO, non SE) valve springs? Have you or someone you know successfully done this swap?

Default 575 cams

Got 575 redshift cams in my 07 Fatboy. No problem the 07 springs are beehive springs.
Contact Zippers they are good folks. No issues thus far, and now having 103 build done at present, roller rockers & Baisley heads.
