I have an 06 TC 88B with about 42k on it. Recently and randomly the engine will shut off when you come to a stop light. It will start to idle really low and then just die. It will fire right back up and run till you get to the next light and it will die again. When you turn the ignition off and back on that will usually cure the problem. Any thoughts suggestions?
The first time the tank was about half full. Today the tank was just filled up. There is no hole in the fuel line. I also failed to mention the bike was fuel injected.
What does it idle at? Because of the counter balance I would think it would need a higher idle. My gals '02 is a B engine and it has a high idle (to me).

Unless you have pulled the tank apart to check it, I'm pretty sure it is the fuel line inside the tank that wurk_truk is referring to. There have been issues with these in the past.
Don't think it's a fuel line issue since it will run at higher speeds ok. Fuel demands are less at idle. Most likely the iac needs a bath with some tb cleaner.

Haven't checked in the tank but runs fine at speed. So dont think that would be the problem. As for idea speed dont have a tach but usually runs at a kind of low idle. I will try to clean it later and see if that helps.
Idle needs to be around 980 rpm on a twin cam. High 900's for sure. Less.... not enuff oil for the lifters.
Didn't think of the IAC, but there have been MANY problems with pinholes in the fuel line that feed the pump inside of the gas tank on fuel injected models, of which your 06 surely was...
Clean the IAC and see what happens.
