Hello,

Just purchased a new Heritage Softail Classic EFI stock, after driving for the first about 110 miles the bike started missing hesitating, idling rough.

The basic problem is when I start it cold after a few seconds the bike starts to idle rough, when I begin to accelerate the bike will hesitate and "pop". Shift into second, accelerate and it will hesitate and backfire. Sometimes it sounds like the "pop" is behind the air filter and sometimes out the exaust with a puff of black smoke.

For about five to six miles it will continue to do this and also buck a bit at slower speeds.

After the engine is hot, it seems to run fine and idle smooth.

I'm scheduled to take it to the dealer for service on Saturday however any help/advice in the meantime is appreciated.

Also, does installing a Power Commander void the HD warrenty? If I get one and uninstall it before bringing it in for warrenty services will the dealer be able to detect that it was there?
