Default backfiring python pipes

Brand new to the harley world with my first bike, 00 deuce. The pipes are long straight and staggered, dont have a clue about model #. No baffel and they backfire almost everytime you back off the throttle. Was told thats common with those pipes, thought it was cool for the first two weeks, however it has now gotten old. Are there riders out there that want this? If there is nothing that can be done what kind of pipes would i need for low to midrange torque since thats the kind of riding i'll be doing the majority of the time. Occasionally i'll open it up on the interstate but i do want to keep my license.
