Default Help please. Won't start.

Hi gang. I accidentally left my ignition(therefore my lights) turned on for a while after I parked the bike last weekend. I turned it off and parked the bike for the week and figured I'd just jump-start it this weekend when I got ready to ride. I did so(which has worked easily once or twice before) but it won't start. It has power and tries but it won't quite turn over. Like the starter is stuck. Would that be possible? Why would it have done that just as/because of I let the battery run down a bit?
Fix?
Ideas?
Thanx in advance for any help.
Can't afford to take it in if I don't have to and surely this is something simple. Bike in great condition and nothing else happened.

Take the battery out and take it to an auto parts store. Most of them will test it for free. Running it completely down might have been the end of it

If it is recoverable charge it on a battery tender for a day or so. That should optimise recharging it.

If battery is load tested and checks out good, then I would suspect a weak starter clutch.

your battery is just too dead. jumping only helps the low batt work. not enough amps run through jumper cables to do it all.

How old is the battery? Most will make three maybe four years if you are lucky.

Replace the battery and buy a tender; keep the battery on the tender whenever you are not riding. Even if you do get it started, that battery is going to leave you stranded somewhere.
