No Crank Issue
I just had to replace the battery on my '07 Night Train from sitting too long while I was out of state and now it won't crank(with brand new HD battery). I hear the starter solenoid push out but the starter doesn't turn. I checked all the fuses and relays, they were good. Am I missing something small or do I need a starter?
The battery is fully charged and I put a load test on it and it passed, everything is nice and tight. It started about a month ago but the battery was low so it took a lil to start up.

Just for grin's try bump starting it in like 3rd or 4th gear instead of first.
Trying to turn the engine over at low speed in 1st is very hard because of the tranny, final drive ratio's. Doing it in the higher grears puts a lot less strain on the belt drive and can actually get the engine to turn over a bit faster.
If I have to guess it sounds a little like the Bendix drive on the starter may be stuck or broken. If its stuck bump starting it should free it, if its actually broken. Well you can guess the rest.
PS The "Security Sysstem II" isn't your problem. If its enabled (the fob isn't around) it will disable the starter, ignition, and fuel pump circuits. So turning the bike on and hitting the starter button will get you nowhere. It won't even try to turn over, or even make a noise like its tryin to. All that will happen is the all the turn signals will start blinking, and keep blinking for a couple of minutes, or untill the fob gets close enough to disable it..
