The '56 KHK HD that I owned years ago, was a rough rider and leaked oil. It did not corner well, but then I was a new rider, so may have been my fault. I rode it for over two years before moving on to a '53 FL.
Now on my 8th, Harley and all of them had their charm. Most any of them would be fun to own today, simply because the old ones always draw a crowd, even among hipster custom bikes with 5 figures put into the paint job and upgrades. The public still likes to see the old bikes and talk about how; "My older brother had one of those in the '50s! Nice to still see one on the road!"
