Default Alum head leakage

So I have a pair of new ( aftermarket) aluminum heads that have leakage ( fuel) coming out around the spark plug.
I’ve used new spark plug gaskets but yet that doesn’t stop it from happening!!
So has any body had this happen and if so what’s the fix?????

I'd suspect a bad / porous casting or something similar near the plug hole. You might try a little soapy water around the plug while the engine is running to see if you can find the source.

I’ve tried that, and yes it’s coming out between plug and threads in alum head.

I've never had that happen, but you might try some high temp thread sealant and see if that helps.

Is it only 1 head or both? Have you contacted the seller to see what they suggest?

Paul,

I did reach out to the vender, but like most the blame goes to who ever made them and they take no responsibility!
I’m old enough to remember when venders/ business work hard for you business … can’t live in the past I guess.
I’ll try the high heat sealant idea, both leak more on the rear than the front.
I have the heads off now and thought to deal with this before in reinstall them.

Bike machine repair shop said most likely threads weren’t cut at the right angle! Not sure about that.

Is a tim-sert an option? It's a solid helicoil.

The china / Taiwan bunch have no idea what they are making it might be a lamp for all they know

the thread not being at the same angle as the thread opening platform is the right call your Indy told you about

pull the heads back off - bring them to him and have him install time seats in the heads - or mail them to someone who can

heli coils are way thinner then a time sert - but in the end you may need to weld the plug holes solid and start over is what we would do - now

done right you will never see the repairs made

Are we talking Big Twin or 45 Flathead?

45 heads are not too hardy to find, takes a bit of time to find a nice set, but they are out there for $400 ish. Factory is always better than repo.

I cannot speak to availability of BT heads. Good luck.

All good ideas. Is a Time sert hard to install?
or should I take it to a machine shop?
