does anyone know what the recommended amount oil drip rate should ?

 

I suspect "Shop Dope" has the correct rate

If it leaves a small puddle after you stand it up straight it`s probably close enough.

Perhaps @johnjzjz or @hellonewman will weigh in

 

Remove the inspection cover from the primary, leave it on the bench. Warm the bike up good, go for a 10 minute ride. Then with the bike still running and a flashlight, watch how many drips you get in one minute. 1-2 drips per minute will keep you lubed up, more than that will make a mess. Less is bad. Remove the small washers/shims as needed to adjust flow. More shims, more flow, less shims, less flow. Not rocket science at all, just some time and patience. Good luck.
