Have them bead blasted ready to prime epoxy
epoxying the frame
The start of the wl engine
this is a challenge as the wife received this bike about 30 years ago for a payment of a debt for some machine shop equipment . So here the story about the bike as was told . I had my bikes part in the garage as there was 5 of them all Harley's and the first one was this 45 WL model that you got ! Well Grandma drove in the garage and her foot slid off the brake pedal onto the gas ( feet where wet from Washington state rain ) and she pushed all five bikes thru the garage wall ! Yup our 45WL, bent frame, tanks handle bars you name it bent ! So this is what i've been working with. Finally found a gentlemen in Tennesee that has a original Harley gig and fixed the fram 2 years ago ! So now it's my turn . Oh, did I say this bike was in 5 big boxes apart too !
Got the tanks all welded up and dents out and epoxy on the parts
Masking off the tanks for the insert color
ready to clear
painting the fenders and some other parts
Painting the hubs as I know they didn't come stock but it her bike and she likes it !
Starting to put it together
Painting some more parts as I find them in the boxes !
Got a buddy seat with it and a solo seat
Found out I left the under side jam nut off and have to take it apart to put under the tree cover used tie straps to keep it together !
Triing to get the springs together
