Are newbies restricted on using search ? I have tried to use the search several times but it won't let me???

I was trying to search within a thread, but I have tried several different ways, so is this a ongoing issues?

You had less than 5 posts. You need to have 5 posts and be a member for 5 days before many of your member privileges kick in. Try again.

With most forums your better off using Google. Just try to use as few words as possible and then add the forum name.

If I want to search HD Forum for Crossbones pictures I would Google it just like that.

Crossbones pictures HD Forum.

The first few links mighnt be to one specific thread but a few down may be an actual search on the forum.
