To answer your question, Yes we do delete posts, threads and even members if necessary. The rules are here and we like to keep everything according to the rules. If your post is deleted, the moderator doing the deleting has a screen appear that asks if they want to nitify the member. I take that opportunity to explain what was wrong with the post.
Sometimes Ijust hit enter instead of submit and my reply doesn't get posted. Is that a sign of old age or habit?
So if you delete a thread it removes all "evidence" of it?? Including if you posted to it? Just curious as one earlier I saw seems to have disappeared. I am 99% sure I posted to it, but thats not in my history either.....
Perhaps I'm just getting old and remembers things that never happened......... [&:]
When a post is deleted, the general membership cannot see it. The MODs and Admin can still see it. The record of it does not appear in your history because to you it was deleted.
We do not delete threads, we move them to a section for "Useless Threads". We can still go back and see all that was in them.
When we delete a post or move a thread to the useless section, it does not affect your post count. Your post count still includes the posts you cannot see.
Does that answer your question? If not, please ask for clarification.
completely answers my question. And I don't care about my post count. I think those are bogus anyway. I just thought I was going a lil' nutso - thank you Sir.
