If I get a reply to a post in a thread, how do I get notified of that reply?
Do I have to SUBSCRIBE to that thread to see it?
Seems like kinda a pain to subscribe to tons of threads to see replies to ones post.
Also, if I start a thread, do I have to SUBSCRIBE to it to be notified of replies to it?
In fact, how will I be notified of replies to this question? do I have to subscribe to my own thread?
Meant to ask about this back when, just never got around to it.
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

thanks, but kinda adds to my issue.
want a way to see if my post was directly responded to, opposed to someone else just posting IN the thread about something else (which is what a subscribe would notify me of, correct?)
don't really want email notification....in todays busy world last thing I want is more email! I don't mind logging in and seeing my unread posts here....just want a way to be notified of direct replies to my post without having XXX subscriptions to XXX threads. have been days where I've responded in 30 threads, do that for a few days and one could end up w/ a pretty long subscription list to weed through.
I guess in your situation, it taking the bad with the worst, instead the good with the bad.
another issue....so if I read a thread and post a question to someone in the thread, but THEY aren't subscribed to the thread, they'll never know I even asked the question as they'd never be notified of the post I made to them.
