the humor forum does this along with others, why?

 

Because this is a family forum and some threads are not for children's eyes..
Even if the children are in their 30's-40's-50's.....

 

It may be in your settings. There's an option to have posts show up for a week or a month or more. When threads get to that point in your settings, they'll "disappear" but they're still there.

If they've been pulled for rule violations, they show up as "moved".

 

Usually if a thread is removed completely for a rule violation, the mod that does it will send a PM to the offender explaining why. Usually, but not always.

 

sorry, forgot to say disappear and then threads reappear after another post/reply is introduced to the old thread.
chickenonachain knew what i was asking. i will check for a setting.
