Default Issues with BOLD text

I have found that anytime anyone includes bold text in their post, all text in every post in a thread becomes bold. This is a recent occurrence in the forum.

To test this, quote this post and change any part of my text to bold and then submit your post. Or, reply to this thread and include bold text and submit the reply.

I guess I could have just replied to my own post???

ETA: I may be proving myself wrong. I do know others have commented that their post was bold and they didn't make it that way.

In post #31 in this thread I simply made a portion of the quote bold but my response was not bold. When I submitted it, my entire post was bold as was all other posts???

Larry, did you bold your entire response or just a portion of it. If just a portion of it, was you entire reply bold when you submitted the post?

I've noticed it too and while it's a little irritating to me, it's not as irritating as a gnat flying around my face. As for the bold gimmick, I don't pay much attention to it.

I appreciate everyone testing my theory hypothesis. I will attribute this to a temporary insanity. Phil, you are the only one who admitted to noticing the same thing so it must be a Texas thing???

I will admit that it isn't annoying at all. It was just an observation. Carry on and enjoy your evening.

By the way, I did not make any portion of this reply bold.

I think that happens when the html close tag is missing.
