Seems to work for me. If you want to find all the posts for a member you need to click on the threads menu in the search box then put the member's name in for the search. The other search does things differently, but brings things up kinda odd.
I did yours and it came up fine. You do know to see all your posts they are under your profile also.
What other things were you searching for?

as an example yesterday I posted 6 or more times including to forum issues. In looking here is one that does not appear in a search of my posts. There are others but then how many do you need. I first became aware of this when I wanted to find a few days old post and could not find it.

DUH!
how would I know something is not there unless I already have done what you suggest. There is a problem with the search engine reporting a user posts. ALL posts are not there. checking my own posts has proven it. In addition one day there are 200+, another day 400+. Do you see anything yet? Not all posts are found when you search your own posts, so how would anyone know some are missing from other posters.

Please relax, 1Canuck...I was only trying to help you...
I ran a test and found out the post you're referring to was in POD. It looks like this section in one way or another is hidden for the search engine, even using the advanced options. I will relay this issue to Admin/Tech Staff.
Posting a link to the other posts you cannot find using the search engine in your profile page would be of great help to further analize this issue.

Thanks. I expect that the board will want to save data space which explains why of the 4541 posts over the years the oldest that can be viewed today is September 9th. That in itself was not the issue when I first posted this. It was a post I made in touring and could not remember where. I do see now that none of the posts in POD are visible. Since I am not looking for any other posts at the moment I cannot say what else may be missing and will post up again if issue comes up.

All posts are still in the database. I even found a thread in the Dyna Section that was started 08-20-2004, 05:18 PM!

As far I can see, current VBulletin thread/message search options and settings allow the server to show 20 pages and 500 items. I do not know if this is the max we can get out of the system, though...
Addition: Searching WWW I found out that increasing that number (500) could dramatically increase the server load!!

The POD is not included in the site search. I'm not sure what the other issue is. Searches are limited to a certain number of results, but you can use the advanced search page to refine what you're looking for.

cheers,
robb
