Default Posting timestamp 2 hours off?

I just noticed that the timestamp on the posting are 2 hours off to my local time, PST. At the very bottom of every page I'm on, it says, "All times are GMT -6. The time now is 10:16 PM." Of course the actual time changes but is still 2 hours off. I thought there was a setting that I could access to change/update what time zone I'm in, but I can't seem to find it. FYI- my laptop is showing the correct current time........

By default the forum picked up my location being GMT but it didn't have automatically detect DST.
