How do I insert a picture into a post? I can copy and paste words, but not tables, PDF's, pictures.
Example:
Fork oil removal and replacement for XL 1200C without Fork Drain
1. Lift Motorcycle
a. Secure motorcycle to a motorcycle lift using ratchet straps to ensure motorcycle does not fall from lift during maintenance
b. Using a motorcycle lift, raise the motorcycle above ground level ensure the front tire is at least five inches above ground level to allow for tire and fork removal.
Figure 1
The figure is missing. I'm trying to post the attached PDF as a post in a New Thread about how to change fork oil on a 2012 XL1200 without fork tube drain

Briefly, with a quote or a new post, hit the little icon with the trees and sun to the left of the Avitar selection. Now whats that's limited to I am not sure.
I am following your very good thread. You attached the PDF. I had no problem downloading it and looking. Started to attach it to another similar thread going from someone who wants to just take it out of the top.
You could open it up and screen shot it. It would however be too small.
I am interested in seeing and answer.

I just noticed the icon with "trees and sun" insert picture is not available on my laptop, but is available on my android cell phone. I did follow the thread to select advanced but did not change anything

Long while ago when I used Microsoft software, it was a tad different on the hamburger menu for it. When I started using Chrome, it was the trees and sun.
You on an apple? It's there. Keep poking the bear. All the guys in the know are celebrating the 4th. I get paid 24/7, 365 for this, so all is good.
Baseball and fireworks tonight however. What a great country we live in.

My laptop is a Windows machine and my browser is Chrome. I also tried Microsoft Edge. No change. Everything is as you discussed on Android phone Phone snapshot
as you can see
PDF files will not upload here like your typical image file. They will only upload as an attachment, like you see in your first post. The only way to work around this, if you really want the file in a picture format, is to take screen shots of each page of the PDF and post those.
Example...
Seems like a lot of work though, as anyone who wants can simply click on your PDF file and it will download to their browsing device for viewing.
Here is a writeup on posting images from a retired admin. This should get you up to speed on how to go about this process.
