Lately every time I look at a thread with embedded .JPEG, my antivirus keeps warning me that it has secured a threat from a phishing scam. Every thread in the off topics that contains a picture. Anyone else?

You're not the only ones facing this problem. It has been reported to the technical team.

 

The best part is they'll never know who did it.

And even if they do, whoever DID do it made sure they didn't break any laws this time. That's why there's no ransom demands this time, just in case they DO figure out who did it.

I'm confident they can't prove who's responsible.

I had to check to see if Al might be able to figure it out.

This issue is affecting all websites owned by Internet Brands. It has been brought up within the company for investigation; however, it is initially believed to be a false positive.

 

Started yesterday my virus/malware protection started blocking threads on this site. Happening to anyone else? I don't know if this is malware, or tracking bloatware put out by forum or poster. I don't open the threads after it tells me not to.
