To whom it may concern:
Picture posting has gotten completely out of hand. Is there anything that can be done to limit the size of pictures people can post? Lately, when I click on a post, if it has a horizontal scroll bar, I skip it and go on to something else. It doesn't help to have high speed on my end when the site can't load the pic's in a reasonable time. I am well aware that I can prevent pictures from loading by checking the box in my profile, but that's not the answer, I love to look at photo's and display my own. It's interesting that in the signature area, it rejects some of what I try to insert and yet others have been able to put two pictures side by side and be way over 640 pixels in width. I have two small flags and the word "snarly and it wont accept any more. I might add, I have pm'd a couple of guy's and politely suggested they alter their pic's and they in turn willingly obliged, however, I feel it ought to be done automatically. I have forwarded your post to Admin. I do not want to limit pictures in posts or sigs but would like to be able to automatically limit the size of pics that can be posted. I'll let you know what they say.

Here is the new Announcement that Admin just posted in the forum. We are encouraging all members to help other members re-size their pictures. Some members aren't as computer savvy as others. I will also be available to try and walk them through it too. If you have any problems, contact me or one of the other mods.

That was some fast work, thanks. As always, I'm happy to help anyone who will accept help, as I have done already. I just feel a little hesitant to tell somebody what to do unless they ask. Thanks again.

 

I don't know if it applies, or if it is possible on this site (cause I know nothing about it) however the admin at www.atvnc.com has a great automatic resizer, and it might be something worth looking into.
Not trying to say that you haven't looked into something like this, just trying to be helpful.
