Not sure this is what you're looking for, this is from our FAQ's on codes here at HDF

I believe he is asking how to turn HTML coding on in the forums. At bottom of page it states if we can post etc then shows what type of coding is activated or not. I came here from searching the forum for the same thing. When I view certain postings I cannot see some images just the html code because it is not enabled or 'turned on'. Maybe if I rub it a little more...

As far as I know those settings at the bottom of the page are set by the owners,,,, I'm sure they have a reason for keeping it off. I'll get Terry1955 to check into it.

Lots of times you just see the code because the image is no longer there or the poster actually didn't do it right.
The admins have it turned off at the bottom left of the page. Don't know any reason to have it turned on.

Click on the html code at the bottom of my post. Do you see any reason that should not be allowed to show?

What if it was to an .........uh well **** site or something else of that sort. Just one less thing for an admin or mod to have to deal with. I know people can still post pics of inappropriate stuff, just saying thats one less thing do deal with. I use to admin a site not as big as this and some one always trying stuff.

Yeah, well I guess they could not allow posting too, that would give the mods less to deal with as well.

I would gladly pay for membership to have this forum less profit oriented, with less restrictions and more user friendly. Like the old one was. The little things here drive me nuts, like the lack of ability to edit your post's subject line, or delete your previous posts, 5 mouse clicks to subscribe to a thread with email notification (unless you want to automatically be subscribed to every thread you reply to), the inclusion of simple html code in a sig or post.

And more response, by mods, to questions in this forums.

I think a paid forum would keep alot of new people from coming aboard. I know I would not have started if I had to pay for it. I am currently broke up a little from a wreck so I have spent the last few weeks doing a lot of reading on my bike and alot of other things. This forum has a wealth of info and a lot of great people even if we all don't agree on everything.
Would you have paid for this sight unseen? Yea the little things used to bother me as well but open heart surgery taught me not to sweat the small stuff.
