Whats with the back button only working half the time? I'm using Firefox and the back button only seems to work on new posts or something. It really aggrevates the crap outta me. Anyone else have this problem?
I use Firefox also and havn't noticed a problem here but I mostly click directally on the link or page I wish to go to. This forum is so dynamic that if you use the back button you could be missing something unless you use the back button then the refresh button.
What version Firefox do you use? I use Version 1.0.
I have the same problem with the back button, also. It seems to be a random event, whether the back button will work or not. I have Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 and use Firefox version 1.0.4 and also had the same problem with Firefox 1.0.3. I don't think it's that big of a deal, just a minor inconvenience at times. If it really bothered me, I'd use Internet Explorer but that would defeat the whole purpose of switching to Firefox.
Okay now I have experienced the Back Button not going back with Firefox. I'll try to find a resolution and post it here if I am able to find any reliable information.
One solution is to right click on the back button this will open a drop down menu showing the last 15 pages visited. You may then click on the page you want to go back to and poof you are back. I hope you find this helpful.

Sorry I forgot I even posted this. Thats what I do now is right click the back button. My mouse has a back button on it which I use religously and its just a real pain when you have to go up and right click the back button or hit the down arrow beside it. I have XP Pro with all the updates and just upgraded my Firefox to 1.0.4. I'm a slave to my mouse button, please help me Tripper!
Well you know that you can spend $$$$$ and buy a mouse that will shine your shoes if you want it to, but being a po' boy I just have to get along with what I have.

Its a Logitech MX700 with a wireless keyboard as well. You could get the whole shebang for about $70 bucks but they don't offer it anymore. The combos they offer now don't have the cool looking mouse until you get close to $100. You can buy the mouse with identical looks but it has Bluetooth instead of the regular wireless, mine has FM maybe? You can also get a corded version as well. Best mouse made for the money IMHO. Go to www.newegg.com if your in the maket. I have build probably 10 complete computers using newegg and they are stellar. Logitech makes lots of nice mouse and keyboard combos and they always get killer reviews in MaximumPC magazine which is the puter geeks bible, and yes I'm a subscriber.
Good luck with this one Tripper! - There a a couple of Mozilla back button issues to begin with and it also appears that Mozilla has some back button problems with other forum software out there - We are not alone on this - I will keep digging also but I think we are to find out it is something about the way Mozilla interacts with the forum.
