Question browser problem, please help

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes... When I click on an external link in a post, nothing happens. It used to open in a new tab. It's not just on this forum but other websites too. Internal links work ok. WTF? Thanks for any help, TF

You might have caught some spyware. Try running a spyware removal program like spybot to see if thats the problem. Hope this helps

MalwareBytes is a better choice. Also, if you are using Internet Exploder, switch to Firefox and avoid using Microsoft's biggest virus.

Go to tools, options, tabs. Make sure the open new windows in new tabs box is checked. Also a reboot may fix it if you haven't already done so.

Thanks guys. I just ran my security scan and found no spyware or malware. Checked the "tab" settings, no improvement.

What browser are you using?
Can you right click on them, this should bring up a menu that allows you to open in a tab or a new window.

I'm using internet explorer. When I choose open in new tab, the tab materializes but it only says "connecting", but never does.

The other thing you can do is restore the system to the last day it worked properly. You will lose any new saved files since that date.

Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Thanks Golfblues. The system restore did the trick. I'll send you a PM in case you don't see this reply as the thread was moved.
