This site has ALWAYS been notoriously S-L-O-W!!!

To make matters worse, there's a certain Mod from Wisconsin who's notorious for shutting many posts down early here in General Chat forum claiming they can be found else where in "more appropriate" forums like Off-Topic. Who the hell goes there??? This site is so damn slow that I only have patience to look at General Chat first, then maybe, one other forum before moving on to other web sites. General Chat is where MOST posters/readers go first (just look at the numbers). Here's some quick advice, stop shutting down the posts here in General Chat. We're (and I know I speak for many on here) not going to go looking for them anywhere else. There is no other web site that moves as slow as this one.

been slow here the last few days too.

 

Yeah, this is how it's been for me the past couple days--can't connect. There's something really screwed up. Surely admin knows about this. And so SLOW!!!, and often it just never stops loading.

 

The speed seems to be getting back to normal for me at least.
I figured a node was down my isp went through to get here, but I think they were either doing maintenance or had an outage on HDForum's end.

 

Guess you can all come over to my place. BYOB only! No problems here. The sun don't shine, there ain't no jobs, but internet is AOK!
