Clear your history, and cookies, and try again.

been having exact same problem all week using IE. Tried deleting history and cookies, didn't work. Cant remember at the moment how to delete cache so haven't tried that yet.

instead I opened it in safari and works fine. I'll just do that for now.

For starters it's not a problem with HDF, it is a problem with
your computer. You may have inadvertently changed some
settings or they corrupted themselves. First thing to check
is you settings in internet options. Go to the "advanced" tab
and then scroll down the options to ensure the correct box's
are checked on, especially the "Multimedia" section. I run all
three browsers on mine and they're all working.

I had problems in the beginning. Because I have a slow server I read somewhere in here to hide all the avatars. I really miss all those bouncing ***** but I have no problems at all now.
HDF CP>Edit options>Thread Display Options> I just unclicked Show Avatars and save changes = All good

IE is an integral part of your operating system, as opposed
to Safari and Firefox which are add on's, therefore there is no
"cache" to delete. When you delete your cookies and history
in "internet options" IE is taken care of. You do have a cache
in the add on browsers and that can be found in the "Tools"
menu of the browser. I've found that most problems are usually
somewhere else.
