Don't log in from the main page. Click on Forums at the top of the page and then log in from there. Let me know if this helps. The main page is the page with the stories about harley and the ads. The page you want to log in from would have the list of all the forum sections on it.

thats where I always try to log in Terry........and it contiinues to do the same thing. I even cliked on forums after trying to log in first and getting the same result. It then showed me logged in until I went to this thread and then it showed me not logged in at that point, very confusing and frustrating.

You got another way to try? this is where I log in from

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/index.php

then after I posted this link, it showed me logged out again and said I didn't have the authority to post that thread until I logged in, then after I did again, this thread was already posted, WTH????

So go back and clik 'forum' at the top of the page, it shows me logged in, but when I went to the touring section of the classified, it has the spot to log in again, so I do, wait until it says 'thankyou for logging in hd2009man', then it goes right back to that log in page again. I do this at least 4 times to no avail, and I clik 'forum' once again........I am getting pi$$ed at this point.

When you get the page you want, such as "off topic" or "general chat"
bookmark them and click in and log in from there. I have fore or five
different sections as bookmarks. Or, you could check the box that
says "remember me," where you log in, and forget about logging in.
