Recently I have had problems with posting a reply to a thread ... not every time but most times I type my comments and hit the "Post Quick Reply" tab ... the "Posting Quick Reply" tab highlights and starts it's thing ... then goes into "limbo" ... nothing happens ... anyone have any input ? Thanks.
Not had that problem, but I use an IPad and several times when Im either reading through a thread before posting or writing a thread the whole thing disappears and the main IPad screen comes up and I have to start all over again really pisses me off when that happens, it's just happened again as I was writing this.
Have had that problem also--after hitting the 'SUBMIT' & it does the waiting forever thing--I been hitting the back one page--sometimes its already posted
I would try rebooting first. We have had no major complaints about the forum having a glitch. The iPad thing is not on our end. I'm not sure what is causing your problem there. When all else fails, reboot, clear your cookies and dump your cache.

Terry thanks for the reply .... However ... I have done all of the "basic" tune ups .... cleared the cookies, dumped the cache, ran Norton virus scan ( just in case ) ran a defrag ... cleared all temp folders ... to no avail ... when I encounter the problem, actually every time I log on, it seems that the only resolve is to shut down the browser and restart. I also encounter this ... after viewing some ( several pages ) of, say "new posts" ... when I click on the the next page ( say I'm on page 3 and click page 4 ) it just stops responding and I have to close the browser and restart Internet Explorer, then things seem to go okay for a bit, then bam! I should note that sometimes I get a "Internet Explorer is unable to view the page at this time" .... and this site "HDForums" is the only site that I encounter this problem. I'm on several other forums and have no problem with any of them what so ever ... it sure is frustrating .... I should note that as far as I can remember the only change tht I have made to anything is an addition to my signature .... could this have caused a problem somehow? I'm on a cable connection and have ran several "speed tests" and all come back with excellent results .... Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope that you and the Guru's here can find a resolve ... possibly show me where I may have screwed thing up ??? Thanks again.
P.S. It did it again as I was/am trying to post this reply.

Larry,
Internet Explorer. If you want to better enjoy your browsing
experience, do what I did and thousands of others have done.
It'll take three minutes of your time. Go to the link below and
download Firefox or Google Chrome. I have all three but prefer
Firefox. You'll never look back.

On my Macbook Chrome is by far the fastest with the least crashes. Then Firefox.
Personal preference. I have em both and overall
Firefox is the better for a number of reasons, to
lengthy to get into here. Also, I've had Fox for
a long time and never had a crash. I have had to
reload Chrome a few times for various reasons.
ymmv
Well ... I installed the Google Chrome and it seems to have fixed the problem ... and as others have said it is waaaaay quicker ... It will take a bit of getting familiar with the different layout regarding favorites etc. ... but I'm not too old to learn a few more new tricks .... Once again "Zap" ... "Snarly" ... and "Ron" ... thanks for the advice!
