Default Ads!!

Ok....Im fed up with these freakin ads that trick you into clicking. What I mean is when you click on "forum" and the drop down menu appears, as soon as your mouse breaks the top plane of the ad underneath, the drop down menu dissappears and you inadvertently click the ad underneath. I know it's petty but it's unsat that marketers have to trick people into clicking. If I wanted to look at the product being advertised I would....when Im forced to click on something I didnt mean to, Im turned off from the product and I won't have anything to do with whatever it is. Just me.....rant over

Yah, I think certain sponsors pay the forum for that to happen. When I scroll down and the drop down menu disappears after a couple tries, I know it's one of those advertisers and I just don't click (seems there is a tad bit of lag time to allow an actual choice on my Mac) and I just go to "Forum" at the top. Takes one more click than using the drop down menu, but it doesn't really bother me.

i feel you man....but I wouldnt care really if I did it by mistake. I just hate the what I consider unethical bait and switch just to rack up website clicks. I for one will NOT be patronising ROKKER for that simple reason. Again, I know it's petty but that's just me

Default Chrome might be way to go!

Chrome might be the way to go. I've noticed extreme slowness on my desktop machine on the site and it has something to do with the version of Windows which is XP and the version of Internet Explorer which is 8, and these animated ads. It gets so slow that I can scroll down the page with the scroll button thing on the mouse and get up, go outside and smoke a cig, come back and it's still waiting to scroll down the page! Tried in on my new laptop which has Windows 7 and IE9, no problem at all with the ads.

Just my .02 worth.
