any body know how I can change my user name?

 

Only an Admin, like Terry The Troll Killer, can do that. He looks in this section or you can send him a message...not a Private Message.

How do I send him a message? I can't figure it out. Need a user name change!

 

He's on two of the stickies on this page. Click one, click on his name and a window will pop up and click on "send him a private message".

 

I am unable to do that because those options do not show up for me. I read they will after 30 days and 5 posts. I cannot PM anyone and I do not see stickies.

 

PMs are 5 days and 5 posts. 30 days is for Classified Ads.

Right or wrong, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I have to consult an admin in order to change my username? Being a software engineer myself, I'd never put that restriction on a user.

 

Be that as it may...every forum I've been on, when someone wanted a name change, it had to go through a "higher up" to have it changed. I'm sure it's that way to keep someone from changing it every week, just as an example or several other reasons.
