Finally, got my hands on a non price gouged seat hinge to bring back one of the more unique features of the FXR. The previous owner was using the fender bolt only to keep the passenger pad on and used glue to "hold" the drivers seat in place, you can still see it on the frame rails and tank mount. I also got a couple of Saddlemen and Le Para seats with the bike that he cut the front mounting tab off to make those seats kind of fit. Wild.
Nice work. I have a Saddlemen on my bike with one of the threaded inserts missing, so I use the bolt. I've gotta find a way to fix it. The hinge is cool.

Looks like the PO was a real clown, some people should not own motorcycles.
they come up on the bazaar from time to time for "reasonable" prices.
I've seen a few pop up on Facebook groups or Instagram selling pages since I've bought mine. The latch seems to be more available and somewhat "cheaper" at around $50-75, but the hinge not as often and at $100-125 area.
Being a dedicated FXR owner for 37 years I found myself looking at that website once....ONCE. I thought it's a JOKE site. Not actually selling at those prices.
If it's not, it might as well be.
