Default Brake problems! Help!

I have a 2007 Nightster that has a little over 3,600 miles on it. The other day my rear brake stopped working. It was working just fine the last time I road it about two weeks ago. I don't see any leaks in the line but there is zero pressure. I press on the brake and I get nothing not even the brake light. Where do I need to start looking?

Welcome to the forum. Bleed the brake first before you do anything else. If you ran the reservoir low you might have an air bubble in there.

Did you check to see if there is any fluid in the master cylinder? If not, then you've definitely got a leak. If it's full then I would suspect the master cylinder has failed. Even if there is air in the line you should get some braking with a spongy feeling pedal.

Has the brake fluid EVER been checked, or replaced?

If you've got no brake OR brake light, it screams something in the rear brake lever linkage?

rear brake bleeding on later Sportys is tricky, the line goes above the master and the caliper. Really hard to get all the air out.

Rubber parts probably rotted out for lack of use.

if i'm not mistaken the brake switch is a pressure switch and is in the hydraulic line. if the reservoir is full, tar snake is probably right. rotted/ broken seals due to lack of use.
