2001 Fatboy skipping then stops running
I am new to motorcycles. I have a 2001 Fatboy with a carberator. Early this morning when I first started riding bike was running perfect. I drove like six miles it started missing and cut off. The temperature was 28 degrees Fahrenheit.
I let it sit for a few minutes and it cranked up running perfect for a few miles. Then it went to missing and cut off again. I did this like five times till I got it home. This afternoon it was like 50 degrees Fahrenheit and it run perfect for like 25 miles.
Do I have water in the gas and its freezing then clogging the line or what. Then it warms up and the ice melts in the tank and it runs great. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on.
I rode it awhile back when it was below freezing and it did the same only one time though then it went running fine.
Any advice would appreciated.

My guess would be:
Dirty fuel filter
Clogged gas cap vent
Have had both happen to me & symptoms were exactly the same.

1) Push the enrichener **** in after the engine starts warming up, leaving it pulled out will foul plugs.
2) Drive with the fuel cap loose on the tank, if the bike runs then check for a plugged vent.
3) Crank position Sensor going/gone out. Little black sensor by the oil filter.
