fatboy lo starting issues

i just replaced the handlebars on my 2012 fatboy lo which required the removal of the gas tank. Now the bike will not start. i know its a gas issues because it started for a couple of seconds after i removed the air filter and sprayed starting fluid in it. then it just shuts off. any suggestions on what it could be???

Sounds like a lack of fuel. You really should hit the new members area and introduce yourself. Tell folks a little bit about your bike and post a picture or two.

It may be the vacuum line on the back side of the petcock has come off or has a tear in it , no fuel comes out of the tank if it came off ...g/l

Im going to take a look at the vacuum line to see if thats it.
im also going to the new members area to introduce myself.

is you fuel pump coming on and bringing the fuel system up to pressure? Are all lines and connections connected properly?

the fuel pump comes on and pressurizes. I've checking all the connections and everything seems to be in place. im thinking it has to do with the petcock and or line connected to it.
still trying to figure this out.
