That's funny ! I like the Deuce, and always have. When I bought the Wide Glide, the Deuce was the one Softy I was debating over with my self. If I were to buy a Softail right now, It'd probably be a nice used Deuce. Actually, the guy who owns the dealership where I bought my Wide glide, has a never titled 100th anniversary Deuce for sale. Very nice bike.

The garage door comes down in the gathering darkness. A pair of Softails sits side by side and the only sound is the ticking of American Iron cooling down. Just an hour ago, I pulled in behind my girlfriend on her newly acquired Deuce and saw the big grin of satisfaction on her face. She flipped up the bubble on her helmet and exclaimed just how much she loves her gleaming black Anniversary Duece. A final rev on the throttle, just so she can hear the Vance and Hines Longshots reverberate and then the kill button.

My 03' FXST sits next to it, totally stock and with half the chrome, but it's mine and I like it. I got her the deal and she paid exactly the same price I paid for my low mile example, but the HD billet forward controls, pipes, SE air cleaner, Stage 1 kit and braided lines, make hers an object of attention wherever we go... Sexy is, as sexy does and it's hard to figure out, how anyone can look at a Deuce and call it ugly.

I'm not a "follower", I like to be different!
And some people bought the AMC pacer to a little different.

I remember when the Deuce hit the showroom. Lot's of folks called it the Harley Virago, due to the rear fender. Not endorsing that, just sharing the information as to perhaps why it didn't fly with the public.

Normal, regular people buy softails. If you want the top-of-the-line for those of us in the upper-echelon of society, you buy the Deuce. Now, we will still let the rest of the peasants, serfs, and blue-collar workers ride with us, but there you go.

Heh heh heh.
