Has anyone ever tried those bags that you put clothes/stuff in and roll them to supposedly squeeze out the air and reduce space?
Going to be at the dealer tomorrow and was wondering if they work, I'd pick up a couple.

I've used those for years. Bought them at Walmart. No HD logo though.

I have a set I won at the dealership. They work ok but if you're on a long trip you may have to squeeze them a time or two as they eventually take on some air. I like the Spacebags just a bit better and they are cheaper. Look for them at WalMart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc.

If you cram 10lbs of crap in a 5lb box...Then you use the 10lbs of crap....
How do you get the 10lbs of crap back in the 5lb box?
Carry a vacuum? That sucks........

You don't need a vacuum for all of them, just roll it tight to get out most of the air.

I keep my mesh jacket liner and a set of rain pants in one of the saddle bags. I used my vacuum packer to shrink 'em down so they don't take up so much space. If I need 'em, just cut the bags open. Then repack 'em when I get home. Wife got some of the bags you hook to the vacuum cleaner. I haven't seen one yet that stays flat for any length of time.

The HD ones and some that you can get from Wally World do not use a vacc or anything else. Just roll like was stated before.
I've heard of them taking on some air. Probably can't get completely away from that. You could just squeeze air out of them at the end or beginning of each day.
That seems reasonable enough to me. If you are trying to set records you are not going to pack much clothes, since you won't be stopping to change them...
