Who would ride in rain?!?

I have a Tour Master rain suit. It's about ten years old. I've had to use it this whole last week riding in North Carolina. Keeps me bone dry. I do have Harley boot covers. They work great. I've never been on a road trip on any of my bikes without getting rained on. Always have it. Someone on the forums said he straps his up under the tour pak so it's easy to get too and saves room in the bags. I've got to look into doing that.

Both.
Short rides, or short storms in warm weather, I get wet.

Long rides, long weather, Cold I suit up.

Tourmaster set. Seems to work well.

Riding without rain gear isn't an option under 60°. I wear my Hillside Cordora/Leather Jacket or my heavy Leather, waterproofed with Doc Baileys. I am tall, so I bought these pants, which I frequently recommend, and nobody checks out. But I'll waste my time again:

With the tall size and stirrups, I finally found a pair that covers the top of my boots.

Last 50 miles of a trip to the southern Tier of NY looked like this, suited up.

Bought a rainsuit for my trip up to the Upper Peninsula Michigan/ohio trip. June, and never got rained on. Sold the suit when I got back. My jacket, gloves are waterproof, and the fairing does a pretty good job with the upper body, so usually its my knees that get wet. In a torrent, my pants get really wet, but I try to park it during those times.

I do have a First Gear coverall suit that is water resistant. If I had to ride in the rain, and anticipated it, I would pack it.

I use a H-D rainsuit if I remember to pack it.

Otherwise, I get wet.

It's a fact that the likelihood of being caught in the rain is directly proportional to the distance you are from your rain gear.

HD High Vis for me and the wife. As others have said, hot weather and short shower, it feels refreshing. More than a brief shower and it's put the suit on. She had Frogg Togs and got soaked one day, When we got home she said she was going to buy a HD suit like mine. I told her to get the HD suit initially but she wants the Froggys.

Harley, First Gear, Frog Toggs Gore Tex Dual Sport Gear (don't remember the name) all have worked well. My favorites are the Harley and Gore Tex, both are made to hold out rain while on a bike and they do the job. The Frog Toggs work in a pinch but they are in the boat now, the First Gear I haven't had the chance to really get wet yet.
Didn't pay retail for any but the Frog Toggs so i can't speak to the value at retail.

If I'm going any distance, I make it a point to bring the rain gear, but I still get wet on occasion on local rides. I really like the "Xelement" Rain gear from Leather-Up but never could get used to the attached boot covers, so I cut them off. If it gets too cold, I'll use the rain suit as well. After all these years, I still have a problem with eye gear fogging up and boots getting saturated. I did find that riding all day with new, wet boots sure did break them in good though.

Scroll down to "rain gear" on the left menu: https://www.leatherup.ca/brand/Xelement-Gear/36.html

I have bought 3 jackets from Leather Up as well as the rain gear and I like them all. Just a happy customer.
