Between 2003 and 2009 most years we were doing a ride around the country between 5000 and 9000 miles over a month period. In the early 2000's there were still a lot of carbed bikes on these tours. When we got to the Rocky Mountains the carbed bikes ran like ****. Now if the handy guys on this thread wanted they could make adjustments while at altitude and then again when back to lowlands. That never happened, they just ran like **** until we got out of the mountains. Another reason not to fight progress, FI ran just fine up there.

 

Doesn't surprise me a bit.
