Wife gave me mine! Daughters boyfriend bought a bike and I told my daughter to buy him one. I explaind to her that the bell keeps the road demons at bay, but only if the bell is given. I told her I didn't want her on his bike till she bought him the bell. God is watching out for me but the bell is keeping those damn little road demons at bay. Anyone not having a bell show this thread to your better half. If they get you a bell they care about you if not your might want to see if they raised your insurance.
Everyone needs a bell. Mine has a wolf on it.

I recieved two a couple of days apart from two members here. Aceart and then Pilot1996. Haven't seen them around lately?

Kimara Stefanski with A.D. Farrows in Columbus, Ohio gave me mine when I bought the bike. (Kimara, where are you???)

I don't have a bell either. I just pray to the good Lord for safety and protection during my ride.

I cheated. I bought my own a couple years ago, before I really knew the whole story about them being "given". Nobody loved me enough. JK
Mainly,I grabbed it because I liked it. It is a mini brass cowbell and sits right under the neck of my bike.
After I learned the whole story, I bought my dad one, as we used to ride together a lot.He has hadhis share of adventures, and is 50 going on 18. So I figured, if he's riding next to me, he better have all the luck he can get.
Anyway, when he sold his 90 FXSTC, I asked him to keep the bell for his next bike, as it was for "his" good fortune.

First bell was given to me on my old bike by the guy that made my saddlebags. Current bell was given to me by my wife. It came off and I had no idea until I saw this smashed bell in the middle of the street down from my house one day... and realized it was mine. Tied the thing back on, smashed and all. It's got character and it came back to me like it was meant to be mine.

My best friend bought me mine and I bought him his. We work together, we fished together, now we also ride together. Notice I said fished, we haven't been fishing since we bought our bikes.
