Ive done all right on Ebay, but unless its either really cheap, or something I really know about (and can verify), I try to buy and sell locally. Bought my current bike out of Florida (Cocoa, so not the dealer in question here) and it was about as described. It was also about 500 bucks cheaper than anything I could find locally even factoring in the shipping. Its had its used bike issues, but I EXPECTED THEM, and paid accordingly.

Nope, but "Demons" doesn't sound too inviting.

Everything seems to be across country from us up her in the NorthWET (not a typo) I've bought two fairly expensive bikes on Ebay. One from California ($21K) and one from Ohio ($26K). I didn't see either bike in person but I asked a lot of questions and both were perfect. Also sold a bike to a guy on this forum in California. He never saw the bike either but was very happy with his purchase. There were other bikes on Ebay that looked good but after talking to the seller, I decided to pass on.

You have good intiution...a must when buying sight unseen. I trust people a bit too much, and that's placed me into a few bad deals. Sometimes just the write-up on a bike will scare away most all buyers. "This bike kicks ***! A real screamer!"
