Timing should be at 1300 to 1500 rpm.

Buna Ziua,

I usually set timing in the hole to where it's lined up and then I tune the carb from there. I get it to where it starts first shot and when I snap the throttle open it doesn't hesitate or cough. Idle lands around the 1200 mark for me...not all bikes are the same obviously.
