Default VOES question?

What happens when you disconnect the VOES from the carb and plug the hole in the carb.
Can the bike be run without the voes?

It will run, but your ignition advance won't be right if you have the original ignition. Think of the VOES as an old style "vacuum advance."

One more thing to consider - if you set the timing with the VOES connected and then unhook it, you'll be OK. Idle will be slower (you can adjust that) and not as perky in lower RPMs and fuel mileage will suffer slightly.

Remember, the ignition will advance itself in the upper RPMs without the VOES. So, if the timing is set with the VOES disconnected and then if someone re-connects it - your engine is gonna be very unhappy.
