Default Transport Mode

How do you know if you are in transport mode after activating it?

Thanks. Just made life simple and won't have to wonder, I just disconnected the battery.

I tried that on my 2013 fat bob but the alarm must have a back up battery as soon as you disconnect the battery the alarm starts screaming (factory alarm)

I disconnected the battery on my 2016 Ultra Limited and just did it on my Tri Glide with no problem. I never heard of a backup battery but could be wrong.

To keep the alarm from sounding when disconnecting the battery, disarm the security first.

1. Turn on ignition
2. Wait for security to disarm
3. Disconnect battery

okay, couple of things.

if you have the hd add on siren, it does have a back up battery and will scream at you.

if you decide to disconnect the main battery, once you turn your ignition on which disables the security, pull your maxi fuse. then disconnect your battery. be sure you put your maxifuse back in and have turned your ignition off before re-installing your battery.

when you put your bike into transport mode, your turn signals will flash, and your siren chirps to let you know. once you turn your ignition back on, you have taken it out of transport mode and have to go through the sequence again.
