Actually, I am happy with anything as long as my knees are in the breeze! Hell, a moped even, as embarrassing as it would be, is better than nothing.

To each his own. I'm happy with my fairing, wouldn't want a bike without at least a windshield. Every time I clean a mess of bug guts off the windshield I'm glad they're not on my face.

After 30 years of riding "naked" I've really enjoyed the last three years of having a fairing. I do have a lower than stock LRS shield, which gives me a little more air. The vents on the fairing let me direct more air towards me too. Bugs usually fly right on by, which I prefer over the middle of the forehead splat.

But if I could have two.....Breakout.

I too think you made the right choice for you by going with the Road King.

I love my SG and the fairing, but I also got rid of the face shield on my FF helmet to increase "wind in the face".

Personally, I am just the opposite. I wouldn't own a bike without a fairing. When it's 110° out, the wind in your face feels like you're in a clothes dryer. No thanks.
