Default Throttle tube shim?

So I posted before about my loose throttle with the Kury ISO grips and Wild 1 bars. I have an HD grip and a set of Avons that are only marginally better. In talking with Wild 1 the bars seem to spec out per their design (worse comes to worse, I may end up with new bars - 1 inch this time).https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...-throttle.html

I've ridden all summer and the looseness of the throttle grip is still disconcerning. I noted this post on another forum where the guy shimmed his: http://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145015

Entertain me: were I to try and shim, what would be a better way and/or material and/or method? Of course I would not make the grip tight as it still needs to turn. I only want to take up some of the gap causing the loose feel.

You could take a plastic throttle tube and cut the ends off and a split down the length. Just slip it between the bar and your throttle tube to fill the gap.
