Totaled my FB Lo, RAM grip held, phone stayed in it. Was planning to use it on my next bike if I get back to it before insurance hauls it away.

The Ram Mount is THE standard. You're going to see all sorts of suggestions for the "Hawg Hooker", "iStay", or whatever the newest fad mount that the vendors are selling at the rallies for the year. They come, they go out of business, they break. . . the Ram Mount is always working.

Keep the phone in your pocket. If it is on the handlebars you are going to look at it and play with it. Everyone complains about the idiots in cages looking at their phones, and you want to be on your bike looking at your phone.
Don't say you ain't going to look at it either, if you ain't going to look at it you don't need it on your bars.

I think I’ll be ok glancing at my phone’s GPS just like any other GPS system but thanks for the advice anyway. No need to run the thread off course. I’ll be looking at the Ram X mount due to all the good reviews and suggestions it always gets.

I have the HD universal cell phone mount with attaches to the throttle mount screws. It comes with chrome screws, but I changed them to black. I use my phone to play my music through the USB connection. If I see a phone call I just ignore it until I can safely pull over to return the call.

"Do Not Disturb" mode is the greatest thing ever. You get zero notifications.

No problems at all!

I did 12k miles on the 2016 Limited in all conditions it’s the Ram X mount. Works very well.

I have now done 6k miles with the Tech Mount without any issue. I like the Tech mount better as it is smaller, cleaner looking and quicker to get the phone in and out.

Ram. ‘Nuff said.

I tried a cheap mount once. Once.
